Talking Circles workshop
Saturday 11 June, 8.45 am to 4.30 pm, St Francis College
Tuesday 14 June, 8.45 am to 4.30 pm, St John’s Cathedral
Cost: $20
This workshop will continue to grow circle facilitation capacity for lay and ordained leaders in the Anglican Church Southern Queensland. Participants will be invited to immediately apply the learnings in their own organisational context and reconvene (on Zoom) one
month later for a two-hour session to debrief learnings.
Talking Circles workshop for experienced facilitators
Wednesday 15 June, 12.30 to 5.00 pm
St John’s Cathedral
Cost: $15
This workshop is for those who have previously completed the one-day Talking Circles workshop and who have subsequently facilitated several talking circles. Participants will co-design the learning agenda on the day around questions, challenges and opportunities which are emerging from their facilitation practice.

Michael Wood’s book, “Practicing Peace: Theology, Contemplation, and Action” (Forward by Peter Catt) will be launched at St John’s Cathedral on 15 June. Books will be available for purchase for $30 (via cash or credit card).
Utilising the power of language in leadership

This very practical half-day workshop will explore how we can carefully, consciously, and effectively use language in ways that develop and deepen relationships and affect change. This workshop provides a useful complement to Talking Circle process.
About the presenter
Michael Wood is an Anglican priest who works as a university chaplain, professional facilitator, and leadership coach. Michael has pioneered the use of Open Space Technology, Talking Circle, and Restorative Justice processes in church leadership in Australia.
