Theme
At the 2021 Open Space Dialogue I raised the question, “So many of the churches core works have been taken up by community groups. What are we (the Church) offering, and how do we do this authentically?”.
During the retreat I hope we’ll Wake Up, Wrestle with God, Find our Mojo and Raise our Voices.
Silent
This will be a silent retreat with limited periods of discussion.
Program
The program will encourage use of the rich resources Santa Teresa provides.
The program will include:
- A morning address with suggestions for reflection
- Daily Offices
- Compline
- A daily Eucharist
- Free time each afternoon.
Arrival and departure
The retreat will commence on Monday afternoon with arrival any time from 2 pm and pre-dinner drinks at 5.30 pm. The retreat will conclude on Friday morning.
Cost
$690 (includes four nights’ accommodation in own room with ensuite, and all meals).

About the retreat leader
Valerie Hoare retired in 2019 and has sorely missed the opportunity over these last couple of years to enjoy more of the Great Walks the world has to offer. She’s found her experience as Parish Priest, Spiritual Director, Area Dean and Archdeacon has set her up nicely for occasional locums. She’s married to Doug and they have 10 grandchildren.
