Church Life Survey

The Church Life Survey, developed by NCLS Research, is an evaluative tool that churches can use to reflect on their vitality and health. It’s an effective way for church leaders to listen to and receive feedback from church members including adults, children, youth and leaders.

The survey results, which are presented in a format that’s easy to interpret, provide a credible evidence base for churches to evaluate their vitality, develop effective leadership and inform their ministry and mission. The results include a comparison to survey results for the Anglican denomination nationally, as well as a comparison to any previous survey results if the church has completed a Church Life Survey since 2000. In addition to the survey results, participating churches receive a resources pack with practical tips for how to act on the results.

A Church Life Survey can be completed at any time for a modest cost of $250 per survey group (parish/church/congregation), plus $2.00 per person being surveyed. For small churches with less than 30 attenders, a flat rate of $250 applies (no additional costs per person).
